Dabe is an experienced NMC-registered nurse (since 2018), trained internationally across specialties. He has significant UK background experience in acute medicine, frailty, and corporate education (Pre-reg, Post-reg, nursing apprenticeship, and HCSW).
Dabe is also a Professional Nurse Advocate and is has a PG Cert in Learning & Teaching in Higher Education (FHEA).
Dabe completed his Bachelor of Science in Nursing in 2012. He has a wide range of experience overseas in different healthcare settings: clinics/outpatient, patients having respiratory conditions needing mechanical ventilation, and utilisation review for a US-based company.
Dabe registered with the NMC in 2018, and worked in acute medicine in one of the major trauma NHS trusts in south-east London until 2022. His focus at this time was in supporting junior staff and new international staff, medication safety, and quality improvement projects at a ward level.
Dabe then relocated to the outskirts of Cambridgeshire in mid-2022 and moved to another major trauma NHS trust in Cambridge, where he was in the Corporate Non-Medical Education team supporting nursing students, nursing apprentices, and newly hired overseas nurses. Working closely with ARU, this enabled him to move across to academia as a Lecturer.
Dabe supervises Undergraduate Major Projects for final-year Nursing students.
