A job. For life.

Nursing is far more than a career. It really is a job for life.

Your honours degree is the first three years on your journey to a rewarding and challenging profession that can take you in so many different and varied directions. All nurses have the capacity to lead. Leadership is built into our programmes to ensure that you are equipped with the skills needed to succeed in a vital and worthy career.

Many of our students secure roles with our placement partners before they graduate. Our graduates are incredibly employable and sought after by NHS Trusts. Last year over 96% of our graduates were employed in professional roles, six months after completing their degree. Once you are a registered nurse the opportunities are vast.

The nursing career wheel

The Department of Health developed a career wheel to illustrate the wide opportunities for promotion and progression within nursing.

You may choose to become a community professional, such as a practice nurse, or to work as a nursing specialist or consultant within a hospital. Or you could take your education further still, conduct research or go into healthcare management.
