Transcripts and certificates

Our awards team can help you request a new transcript or certificate of your studies at ARU.

If you graduated in 1992 or after

If you’d like a copy of your transcript or degree certificate please visit our online store where you can order a replacement. You'll need to know your student ID. If you do not know this, please contact [email protected].

If you studied at Writtle University College, please contact [email protected].

If you graduated before 1992

We cannot provide replacement certificates for degrees gained prior to 1992.

If you studied at Anglia Higher Education College, Cambridge College of Arts and Technology or Essex Institute of Higher Education, degree awards were conferred by either:

• Council for National Academic Awards (CNAA). For further information please see the Open University website
• EdExcel (formerly BTEC). You can request replacement HNC and HND certificates from EdExcel.

Award verification requests

Award verification requests can be sought by a third party (eg employer, Embassy or equivalent, not by former students) through the Higher Education Degree Datacheck (HEDD) online verification service.

This is only possible for Anglia Ruskin University awards from 1992 onwards.

Third parties should register with HEDD. To do this:

• visit www.hedd.ac.uk
• select 'Anglia Ruskin University’ from the list of UK higher education institutions
• choose the option to 'verify a degree award'.
