CEEUPS is a UKRI-funded research centre focused on those who work in uniformed public services.
The strength of our Centre lies not only in its unique cross-service focus, but the diverse expertise and experience of our team. Our researchers and professional staff bring together a blend of inter-disciplinary perspectives and practical knowledge, with the inclusion of team members who have served as practitioners in uniformed services before transitioning to academic careers.
This combination of lived operational experience and rigorous research experience creates a distinctive capability to understand both the theoretical frameworks applicable to our research focus and the day-to-day realities that shape equity challenges across our services.
Our research themes are:
1. Culture and Diversity
2. The Employment Journey
3. Emotional Labor and Wellbeing
4. Change Process in Uniformed Public Services
