Would you like to learn how to perform effective Cardio Pulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) and receive training on how to use a public defibrillator?

In support of Re-Start a Heart Day, the ARU Peterborough nursing and midwifery team would like to invite all staff/students to a training session on CPR and defibrillators.

Did you know...?

Approximately 30,000 out-of-hospital cardiac arrests happen every year in the UK. Sadly, less than one in 10 people survive these cardiac arrests. Performing CPR can more than double the chances of survival in some cases (British Heart Foundation, 2022).

We want more people to survive by making sure you know that when someone collapses and stops breathing it’s important to call 999, perform CPR and use a defibrillator if there’s one available nearby. Around 80% of out-of-hospital cardiac arrests happen in the home, and by following these steps this gives mums, dads, sons, daughters and friends the best chance of surviving (British Heart Foundation, 2022).

We're also running training sessions on 16 October and 20 October.
