TIGA award new accreditations to our courses

We’re delighted to announce that TIGA have recently accredited three of our computer game courses: BSc (Hons) Computer Games Technology, MA Computer Games Development (Art) and MSc Computer Games Development (Computing). At the same time, they also re-accredited our BA (Hons) Computer Games Art.

TIGA is the trade association for the UK video games industry, with a vision to make the UK the best place in the world to develop video games. Their panel awards accreditations based on criteria such as graduate destinations, industry links, facilities and ability to keep up to date with the latest developments in game technologies.

As well as reflecting these aspects of our courses, TIGA accreditation also provides our students a badge of excellence to show their future employers.

Dr Richard Wilson OBE, TIGA CEO and member of the accreditation panel, said: "Anglia Ruskin University’s first degree games programmes provide opportunities for cross-disciplinary team work, which is crucial for employability.

"Data from HESA shows that both the first degree courses and the MSc/MA programme lead to good employment outcomes for graduates.

"Congratulations to the staff and students of Anglia Ruskin University on your successful accreditations. We now look forward to seeing your entries into the TIGA Games Education Awards 2023."

Baris Isikguner, Deputy Head of Cambridge School of Creative Industries, said: "As a TIGA-accredited institution since 2017, we are thrilled to receive this recognition for three more of our courses. TIGA's accreditation standards and support have been invaluable in our pursuit of excellence in games education.

"This accreditation validates our commitment to providing high-quality, industry-relevant education and our graduates will have the confidence and skills to excel in the dynamic and ever-evolving gaming industry.

"We are proud to be a part of TIGA's network of accredited institutions and appreciate their dedication to promoting excellence in game design education."
