Professors Odell-Miller and Fachner to speak at 4th International Music Therapy Conference

Two of our Music Therapy team, Professors Helen Odell-Miller and Jörg Fachner, have been invited to deliver keynotes at the 4th International Music Therapy Conference at the Mahatma Gandhi Medical college, SBV University, Pondicherry, India.

The conference, which takes place on 10 March 2017, will be held at the 1200-bed SBV University Hospital, which is attached to four faculties for medicine, dentistry, nursing and allied health professions. Dr Sumathy Sundhar, Chair of Education and Training for the World Federation of Music Therapy, runs the Center for Music Therapy, Education and Research (CMTER) and will be organising the event- one of the largest music therapy conferences in India.

Professor Fachner (pictured) previously attended the conference as a keynote speaker in 2016 and has been collaborating on funding bids with SBV University, as well as teaching and examining on their course. Our team also hope to work with SBV on future research and training collaborations.
