Alicia Shaw

Alicia is a former police officer spending a 30-year career in Hertfordshire Constabulary.

She sat on many boards during her career taking an active role in policing including, Diversity boards, The Code of Ethics board, Chair of The Herts Black and Asian Police Association and the College of Policing Membership Board.

Alicia career was predominantly in detective roles and she also performed the role of a Crisis and Hostage Negotiator for ten years.

Alicia’s final role in policing was in charge of a busy policing area in Hertfordshire working closely with local responsible authorities in protecting the local communities against crime.

Alicia graduated from The University of Cambridge in 2018 with a Master of Studies in Applied Criminology.

Alicia retired from policing in December 2019, since retiring she has continued in her role as a mentor for under represented groups in policing and performed equality and diversity reviews for companies.
