Overview

Further your knowledge and skills in pesticide application from a conventional boom sprayer with hydraulic nozzle and/or rotary atomiser. Study our NPTC-accredited course at Writtle College.

Who should attend?

Our course is suitable for operators who have at least six months' experience of driving a tractor, and have previously completed the PA1 Foundation Module.

Entry requirements

Applicants should have at least six months' experience of driving a tractor. You will not be allowed to start the course without the correct personal protective equipment (PPE) which should include:

  • waterproof Wellington boots, preferable steel toe capped
  • sprayer face shield
  • type 5/6 disposable coveralls
  • unlined nitrile gloves.

City & Guilds states that students cannot go forward for testing until the PA1 unit has been achieved.
