CPD and short courses (short course)
Module level: 6 and 7
Develop the skills to care for infants, children, and young people needing Level 1-2 critical care (high-dependency care). Study online and in-person at ARU in Cambridge.
This module is currently only open to UK-based students. You’ll need to identify a suitable mentor (we’ll help guide this with your clinical manager), and you must be regularly working with children who have high dependency needs.
If your current role doesn’t give you that experience, don’t worry – you might be able to arrange additional learning opportunities in areas like theatres, NICU, or adult ITU, with support from your manager.

To join this course you must be professionally registered and work clinically with critically sick children.
If you don't work in a dedicated high dependency area, you may need to access other clinical learning opportunities, for example, theatres, adult ITU, NICU. You'll require the support of manager/s to access practical skills outside of your normal area of work.
