Programme content
Accredited by the CMI
Chartered Manager status is the highest status that can be achieved in the management profession. It's recognised and valued across all sectors and industries.
Apprenticeships are delivered through a combination of practical experience and academic learning.
Your apprentice will attend online sessions led by the University, one-day workshops at either our Cambridge or Chelmsford campuses and practical experiences in their usual work environment.
All apprenticeships have been assigned a minimum requirement of off-the-job-training (OTJT) hours to comply with the Funding Rules. Your account manager will advise you on how these OTJT hours are planned. This time will focus on building the knowledge and skills needed for the apprenticeship. It is not part of your apprentice’s regular work duties.
At the end of each module, we will assess your apprentice. These on-programme assessments count towards their final qualification.
They’ll also complete an End Point Assessment (EPA). The EPA is independently assessed and occurs after all on-programme assessments have been passed.
Chartered Management Institute
Our degree is ‘dual accredited’ by the Chartered Management Institute (CMI). This means it aligns with the CMI Level 5 Diploma qualification and gives you an extra qualification while studying. It also gives you access to the streamlined route to Chartered Manager.

Fees and funding
Degree apprenticeships are a smart investment. You can reinvest Levy funds to cover the cost of an apprenticeship or receive funding support from the Government.
If you operate in England and your annual payroll is over £3m, you pay a levy of 0.5% of your payroll into a levy account.
The Chartered Manager Degree Apprenticeship programme costs £22,000 for levy-paying employers. This can be covered by funds in your levy account.
If you exhaust the funds in your levy account, you will pay only 5% of the cost of the outstanding fees. The Government pays the remaining 95%.
The Chartered Manager Degree Apprenticeship programme costs £1,100 for non-levy-paying employers.
You will only pay 5% of the costs of the apprenticeship programme. The Government pays the remaining 95%.
Apprenticeships are paid for by your employer and the Government. You won’t pay any tuition fees on this course.
