Key facts

An apprenticeship is a job with training, combining practical experience with academic learning.

At least 20% of your contracted working hours will be classed as 'off-the-job'. This time will be dedicated to developing the knowledge and skills needed to meet the requirements of the apprenticeship and therefore are not part of your usual work duties.

It's a part-time course, delivered across two years. This includes the six-month end-point assessment period at the end of the course.

The apprenticeship is structured as follows:

  • 2 x 15 credit modules delivered in the first trimester
  • 1 x 30 credit module delivered in trimester 2
  • 1 x 15 credit module delivered in trimester 3
  • 1 x 45 credit module delivered across trimester 3 and 4
  • Total 120 credits.
  • 3 x 0-credit modules (‘Into ARU’ module, the portfolio module and the end-point assessment period).

You'll learn via a flexible online learning model. This combines online non-timetabled study, with live virtual sessions, and structured workplace learning.
