Develop your knowledge of veterinary care by attending Writtle College one day a week, while building your practical industry experience in a relevant role.
If you're 16-18 and considering a career as a veterinary nurse, but have not yet achieved the English and Maths grades for an apprenticeship, our one-year course is for you. It's a progression route to the Level 3 diploma, which allows you to qualify as a Royal College of Veterinary Surgeons (RCVS) registered veterinary nurse.
As well as receiving top-quality training at Writtle College, you'll gain experience in a real work setting.
Our Level 2 course has been shaped through consultation with experienced animal welfare professionals and registered veterinary nurses, so you get the skills you need to work in veterinary practices or animal-based businesses. It's ideal if you have a keen interest in working with animals such as cats, dogs, rabbits or horses.
