Facilities in Writtle

At ARU in Writtle, we have a fully equipped gym which is a great place to work on fitness, achieve personal goals and socialise with like-minded people.

It features:

• a cardio gym with treadmills, rowers, resistance machines and more. There's a matted area for warming up, body weight exercises and stretching
• a free-weights gym with all the equipment to build strength including a squat rack, benches, cables and a range of free weights.

Upstairs in the Recreation Centre, you'll find a women-only studio room with dumbbells, squat rack, kettle bells and Pilates bands.

Opening times

• Weekdays 7am–9pm
• Saturday and Sunday 9am–4pm

Closed during Christmas and Easter vacations, and on bank holidays.
