About

An eland - a large brown antelope with spiraled horns - standing in scrubby grassland against a hazy blue/grey sky

The European Conference for Behavioural Biology (ECBB) is held every other year in a European country, and offers an excellent opportunity for us to gather and discuss the latest research in our field.

The theme for ECBB 2026 will be Animal Behaviour in the Anthropocene, although we also very much welcome submissions and symposia across the general area of behavioural biology. The conference is being organised in partnership with the Association for the Study of Animal Behaviour (ASAB), who will provide travel grants and childcare grants for members.

The ECBB 2026 organising committee are firmly committed to fostering a respectful, inclusive, and harassment-free environment where every individual is treated with dignity, fairness, and respect.

ECBB 2026 will implement a strict Code of Conduct which aims to create a safe, welcoming, and supportive space for all.

If you experience or witness any conduct that you believe violates these principles, we encourage you to contact a member of the organising committee or email [email protected]. All reports will be taken seriously and handled with confidentiality and care.

Together, we are committed to making ECBB 2026 a positive, respectful, and inclusive experience for everyone.
