Background

Zoe completed her BA in Criminology and Sociology at ARU in 2021 and stayed on to complete her MA in Criminology in 2022.

In 2023, she rejoined ARU as an Associate Lecturer and has taught various modules across Criminology and Policing, focusing mainly on areas of violence, sexual violence, and other gendered harms.

Zoe’s doctoral research is funded by the Vice Chancellor’s PhD scholarship. Her thesis focuses on the current rise in online misogyny in schools and aims to work with key stakeholders across education and policing to evaluate the current policy and educational responses to these issues.

Alongside her doctoral research Zoe also helps to run the Feminist Methodologies Interest Group. The FMIG is a cross-faculty group made up of staff and PGRs and runs events each trimester focusing on feminism and feminist methodologies.
