Stefanie Aeschlimann Arjona is an interdisciplinary practitioner with interests in neurorehabilitation, stroke, aphasia, cognition, and emotional recovery. Her current doctoral research explores cognitive music therapy in women with post stroke aphasia, integrating neuroscience informed approaches to investigate cognition, language, emotional regulation, and neuroplasticity.

Stefanie is a psychologist and music therapist with experience in psychotherapy, addiction services, and multidisciplinary mental health settings in Chile. Her professional background also includes therapeutic support, organisational development, and work across educational and administrative contexts, contributing to an interdisciplinary perspective on mental health and wellbeing.
Her academic interests include the application of music based interventions to cognition, emotional processing, and wellbeing in both clinical and non clinical populations. She is particularly interested in neuroscience-informed music therapy, neuroplasticity, emotional regulation, and person-centred approaches integrating psychological and rehabilitative perspectives.
