Sally Lavelle
Sally is an experienced primary school teacher with extensive school leadership experience. She has a strong background in curriculum development, positive behaviour support and classroom management. Sally has a particular interest in supporting teachers in the early stages of their careers through mentoring and professional development. She is passionate about education with a strong focus on improving educational outcomes for all children. Sally is a Senior Lecturer Practitioner, working part time with ARU delivering the BEd Primary Education with QTS course, as well as supporting another local school through a governance role.

With over 20 years’ experience as a primary school teacher, Sally has taught across a range of different school settings and year groups. Through her senior leadership roles, she has developed teaching and learning approaches across Key Stage Two and driven improvements across multiple disciplines, supporting curriculum design, implementation and assessment.
Sally has worked as a Deputy Headteacher across two local schools, with a strong focus on improving teaching and learning practices and pupil outcomes. Within this leadership role, Sally also supported other local partner schools to improve their teaching provision.
As well as classroom teaching, Sally has mentored many trainee teachers and Early Career Teachers, providing guidance and support, helping them to become successful practitioners themselves.
