Sadie is a Registered Learning Disability Nurse currently undertaking a PhD at Anglia Ruskin University exploring the lived experiences of hospital to community discharge for people with learning disabilities.

Sadie's clinical background includes learning disability and forensic services, and I am passionate about improving access to research for people with learning disabilities, who are often marginalised within traditional research processes.
Sadie completed an NIHR research internship, working as an educator for HASB‑IDD, and am the trial manager for DESMOND‑ID. She am also the Associate Principal Investigator for the PETALS study. She developed the WIN tool to strengthen discharge communication and am committed to increasing nursing capacity and capability in research.
