Richard is responsible for delivering comprehensive research funding and impact support across the Centre of Excellence for Equity in Uniformed Public Services (CEEUPS). He leads a team of expert research support professionals, assisting the academic community to identify and secure a range of resources to advance their research.

Background

Richard joined CEEUPS in 2024. This is the pinnacle of a career as a dedicated research support specialist spanning 16 years across ARU, Coventry University, the University of Wolverhampton and Keele University.

Richard has assisted over 800 research funding applications, and has supported proposals successfully funded by bodies including (but not limited to): the European Commission (from FP7 onwards); UKRI (inc. AHRC and ESRC); Leverhulme Trust; Wellcome Trust; British Academy; the Home Office; various Business/Industry funders, and a range of Local Authorities.

Richard's experience includes not only supporting funding applications, but influencing the wider environment in which they emerge, to help ensure the most supportive and developmental circumstances exist for the academic community that he serves.
