Neeru is an experienced teacher who has worked across both primary and secondary phases, with a strong background in curriculum development and subject leadership. She has led multiple subject areas in primary school, including Design & Technology, Music, and RSHE (Relationships, Sex and Health Education). Neeru has a particular interest in supporting teachers in the early stages of their careers through mentoring and professional development. She is passionate about education and research, with a focus on improving outcomes for all learners.
Neeru has developed a broad range of teaching experience across different phases and settings, enabling her to build a strong understanding of progression and curriculum continuity. Through her subject leadership roles across multiple disciplines, she has developed and supported curriculum design, implementation and assessment.
Alongside her classroom experience, Neeru has mentored teachers at the beginning of their careers, providing guidance and support to help them develop into confident and effective practitioners. She has also worked as a curriculum lead, overseeing the development of RSHE lessons for both primary and secondary phases at Oak National Academy, a Department for Education-funded online platform. This role involved creating and quality-assuring inclusive and accessible content for a wide range of learners on a national scale.
