Background

Marianna Santocchini Zaffaroni began her teaching career in Italy, teaching English Language and Literature in secondary schools. She holds a degree in Modern Foreign Languages and Literature from LUMSA University, Rome, and a Postgraduate Certificate in Education. After moving to England over 20 years ago, Marianna developed extensive experience in primary education, teaching Key Stage Two in Cambridge for 15 years. She has coached teachers, mentored trainee and Early Career Teachers, and led French across the school. She has also completed the National Professional Qualification for Special Educational Needs Coordinators (NPQ SENCo). Marianna is a Senior Lecturer Practitioner at Anglia Ruskin University and a part-time class teacher.
