Background

After receiving her MSc in Health Psychology, Louise began working as a Researcher at Coventry University’s Health Design and Technology Institute (HDTI). Following this, she worked as a Researcher at King’s College London, whilst completing a PhD. Prior to joining ARU, Louise was a Behavioural Science Research Fellow at City, University of London.

Louise's research interests lie in the support and management of long-term health conditions, including diabetes, rheumatoid arthritis and cancer. Louise has conducted research into psychological interventions for rheumatoid arthritis and increasing attendance for diabetic retinopathy screening.

Louise’s PhD, which was funded by the King’s College Hospital Charity, was a theory-based process evaluation of motivational interviewing-based treatment support for patients with rheumatoid arthritis.
