Linda is a registered Adult Nurse and Specialist Community Public Health Nurse and has clinical experience within the 0-19 team in the community. Linda joined ARU in April 2021 as Lecturer Practitioner and module lead for the Professional Advocate Preparation Module.
A senior lecturer who has been at ARU since 2021, Linda had been an Associate Teacher with ARU, assisting with delivering sessions on two modules on the SCPHN course. As a practitioner Linda was able to offer the students a flavour of the workplace and how they can link theory to practice. Linda has completed her PG Cert and MSc in Medical and Healthcare Education and is a Fellow with the HEA.
Over the last 15 years, Linda has worked as a School Nurse, Clinical Practice Teacher, and 5-19 Lead within the Healthy Child Programme. She supported pre-registered adult and child students/SCPHN students in the community as a community practice teacher. As part of a team, Linda delivered various teaching sessions in-house to support the student learning. Previously Linda worked in Accident and Emergency for many years, worked as a Practice Nurse, Teaching Assistant, School Governor, and a School Nurse based in a school and in the community.
Linda has a variety of knowledge gained from previous posts, and has a particular interest in leadership, safeguarding, and young people's health.
