Liana is an experienced primary school teacher with expertise in leading teacher development. She has a particular interest in the development of trainee teachers and Early Career Teachers as well as trauma-informed practice, Social, Emotional and Mental Health and behaviour in the primary setting. Liana is a Senior Lecturer Practitioner, working part time with ARU delivering the BEd Primary Education with QTS. Alongside this, she works in a local junior school coaching and supporting educators with their teaching.
[email protected]Liana began her teaching career in 2018, working in a Chelmsford Junior School, after graduation from the University of Brighton. During her second year of teaching, Liana began studying an MA in Education at Anglia Ruskin University. Liana has mentored and coached trainee teachers during their SCITT which led her to completing a Level 2 in Instructional Coaching and a National Professional Qualification in Leading Teacher Development.
She has experience of mentoring Trainee Teachers as well as supporting and coaching educators helping them to become successful practitioners themselves. Liana is interested in the effects of childhood trauma on the developing brain as well as Social, Emotional and Mental Health in children. Throughout her primary teaching career, Liana has been a subject leader in history and character development.
