Lauren joined ARU in March 2024 and is a Lecturer in Veterinary Physiotherapy. She has been a qualified vet physio since 2018 with a passion for electrotherapies, specifically photobiomodulation.
Lauren gained her Certificate in Higher Education Practice in 2021 and is a member of the FHEA as well as RAMP and IAVRPT. She established the Canine Rehabilitation Clinic and maintains the industry link between ARU and Essex Police Dog Section and earned Chief Constable’s Certificate of Merit.
In 2018, Lauren completed her Integrated Masters in Veterinary Physiotherapy at Writtle University College, graduating with distinction. She joined the veterinary physiotherapy lecturing team and in 2021 completed her PG Certificate in Higher Education Practice.
Since graduation, Lauren has obtained her Certificate in Canine Hydrotherapy and gained experience working in rehabilitation centres and with Essex Police.
Lauren has a particular interest in photobiomodulation. She showcased her research at the World Association of Laser Therapy (WALT) and the International Association for Veterinary Rehabilitation and Physical Therapy (IAVRPT) conferences in 2018. She regularly speaks at London Vet Show for Pioneer Veterinary Products in collaboration with MultiRadiance Medical.
Currently, Lauren divides her time between ARU in Writtle and Nottingham Vet School, where she contributes to the MSc in Veterinary Physiotherapy programme.
