Laura's key areas of expertise are strength and conditioning and nutrition. She has provided nutritional and strength conditioning advice to high performance and elite athletes including squash and golf professionals.

Background

Laura joined Writtle University as a Further Education Lecturer in 2006, and on completion of an MSc and PGCE teaching qualification, joined the Higher Education Sports team in 2010. Since then, she has taught a wide range of modules including psychology, coaching, exercise prescription, professional skills, nutrition and strength and conditioning.

Laura's current main teaching and research focus is within nutrition, psychology, and strength and conditioning.

Research interests

Laura is currently working towards a PhD titled ‘Optimising match preparation processes for junior squash players’.
