John received the Culford Press award on completion of his MA and returned to Anglia Ruskin University to take on the role of Printmaking Technical Officer in 1998.
John is currently working on a number of large scale woodcuts to form part two of his On Finding Silence series. The first instalment of On Finding Silence (a series of large scale drawings spanning a 15 year period) was exhibited in the Ruskin Gallery in 2018. On finding Silence is a continuing body of work that acknowledges, questions and celebrates the existence of an alternate reality, it is a response and a visual documentation to time alone in nature, a nature, that as a race we are destroying.
