As a lecturer in veterinary physiotherapy, Jess teaches on subject areas such as manual therapies and remedial exercise in relation to canine and equine rehabilitation. She holds a Level 3 certificate in Canine Hydrotherapy with an advanced Level 4 Underwater Treadmill unit and is a proud member of RAMP (Register of Animal Musculoskeletal Practitioners).

Background

Jess has had a passion for veterinary physiotherapy for nearly 20 years, having grown up with both horses and dogs that have required a range of physiotherapeutic interventions throughout their lives.

In 2022 she graduated from Writtle University College with an Integrated Masters in Veterinary Physiotherapy and joined the teaching team shortly after. At the beginning of 2023 Jess set up her own mobile veterinary physiotherapy practice, whereby she treats both small and large animals alongside her work at ARU in Writtle.

Jess has a keen interest in hydrotherapy and remedial exercise in relation to orthopaedic rehabilitation, biomechanics and muscle activation.
