Jasmine is a midwife and lecturer who is passionate about empowering future professionals through evidence-based practice, birth physiology and compassionate care in both academic and clinical settings.
With years of experience as a Band 6 Core Midwife on the Birth Centre at The Princess Alexandra Hospital NHS Trust, Jasmine has developed a deep-rooted passion for supporting physiological birth, promoting evidence-based care, and mentoring the next generation of midwives.
Jasmine’s clinical role has given her the privilege of being at the forefront of intrapartum care, providing high-quality, woman-centred support to individuals and families during one of the most significant moments of their lives. It is through this practice that Jasmine has discovered a natural inclination toward teaching, supporting students, and contributing to the professional development of others, motivating her decision to pursue a role as a Lecturer in Midwifery.
Jasmine is committed to delivering engaging, evidence-based teaching that bridges theory and practice. She supports students in developing clinical confidence, critical thinking and compassionate care, while fostering reflective practice and preparing them to provide safe, respectful, and woman-centred maternity care.
