Janet worked in primary care as a Practice Nurse and is now an Advanced Practitioner running minor illness, diabetes, and respiratory clinics as well as travel clinics making autonomous decisions in the assessment, diagnosis, and treatment of patients.

Research interests

Exploring the experiences of people with dyslexia who use their skills associated with dyslexia in their area of work, to contribute to the knowledge of positive skills associated with dyslexia and give understanding of the strengths of dyslexia from an insider perspective. The skills associated with dyslexia have been looked at in the main through the prism of the entrepreneur, this study is looking at the skills within the health environment.
