Iqra joined the Anglia Ruskin Clinical Trials Unit as a Clinical Trials Coordinator in November 2025. She oversees the coordination and monitoring of multi-centre clinical trials across all phases of the study life cycle. Her work focuses on maintaining high standards of quality, regulatory compliance, and collaboration across research teams and partner sites.
Iqra holds a PhD in Neuroscience from University College London, where she gained extensive experience in research design, data analysis, and scientific communication, including a successful research collaboration with the National Institutes of Health (NIH) in the United States. She later worked as a Regulatory Medical Writer at a contract research organisation, leading the development of core clinical trial documentation such as study protocols, clinical study reports, participant information sheets, investigator brochures and scientific manuscripts. Before joining Anglia Ruskin University, she worked at the Cambridge Clinical Trials Centre, coordinating multiple multi-centre commercial and academic oncology studies. She brings a unique perspective that bridges academic, industry, and NHS research environments.
