Ian is a Senior Lecturer in Games Design and Development at ARU as well as an Unreal Authorized Instructor (Gold) in partnership with Epic Games, and a Fellow of the Higher Education Academy (FHEA).
Ian has previously worked on multiple projects as both a designer and programmer, having supported projects from the initial development to release. His interests are mostly in procedural generation, simulation and world centric design.
Ian has a wide range of experiences in teaching having taught at all levels from primary school to university level. Has worked on projects to get young people into teaching in conjunction with the organisation Women in Games.
