Helen entered academia after working as a solicitor in London and Bangkok. Her law interests relate to experiences from her previous legal career.

Background

Helen graduated from the University of Portsmouth with a First Class BA (Hons) in Business Studies. She then undertook the Graduate Diploma in Law and the Legal Practice Course at the University of Law, before qualifying as a solicitor in 2010.

She worked for DLA Piper in London, moving to Bangkok to work on insurance disputes. She also worked at DAC Beachcroft and RPC, before joining ARU in January 2019.

Helen's teaching and research interests engage with contract law, the law of tort, equity and trusts, succession law, with industry experience in insurance law. Helen has interests in social mobility, and how class impacts entry to the legal profession.
