Hannah is a Senior Lecturer in Education with extensive experience teaching and leading across Early Years and Primary Education. She specialises in literacy, phonics and dyslexia and is passionate about early reading development. Hannah teaches on the BEd Primary Education with QTS programme and is the Placement 1 Module Leader.
For over ten years, Hannah has taught in primary schools across London, Birmingham, and Suffolk. She has held leadership roles in Key Stage One, Early Years Foundation Stage, literacy, phonics and the Arts. As a School Mentor and Phase Lead, she has supported many trainee and newly qualified teachers.
In 2023, Hannah pursued studies in ‘Specific Learning Difficulties’, achieving an MA with Distinction from University College London. She is a qualified Specialist Teacher and Assessor of Dyslexia and an Associate Member of the British Dyslexia Association. Her recent work includes projects exploring gender stereotypes in primary education. As an Educational Consultant, she co-authored a curriculum with The Children’s Society to promote gender equality across core and wider subjects.
Hannah is now a Senior Lecturer, teaching on the BEd Primary Education with QTS. She also holds responsibility for ECT transition and is Module Lead for Placement 1.
