Elizabeth is a Senior Lecturer and Course Director for the BEd Primary Education with QTS degree at ARU Peterborough. She is an experienced teacher and school leader with expertise in primary mathematics. She has also worked as an education advisor within the local authority, supporting the Virtual School to promote inclusive educational practices.

Background

Elizabeth has taught across Key Stages, spending much of her career in Upper Key Stage 2. She worked as a Mathematics Leader in multiple schools and also held the role of Trust Mathematics Champion after completing her Master’s Degree in Mathematics Education at the University of Cambridge. In addition to these subject leadership roles, Elizabeth has taken on a wide range of responsibilities including Raising Standards Leader, Phase Leader, ECT Mentor, and English as an Additional Language Leader.

She particularly enjoys leading staff professional development to support teachers at various stages of their careers, and she is passionate about designing high-quality curriculum and assessment materials. Elizabeth has a strong commitment to social justice and has extended this focus beyond the classroom. In her role as an education advisor for a Virtual School, she worked to champion educational outcomes for all children known to social care.
