Background

Before joining CEEUPS, Elizabeth completed an MA in Archives and Records Management at University College London, where she developed a interest in trauma-informed theory and practice. This has strongly influenced her work at CEEUPS to create a person-centred archive that does not perpetuate harm or hierarchies, and instead strives to encourage collaboration and empowerment. She also holds a BA (Hons) in Korean from SOAS, University of London.

Elizabeth’s work links closely to the relationship between records, memory, and society. She is interested in investigating the personal and symbolic meanings of records, their societal applications, and incorporating trauma-informed approaches in a variety of archival practices.
