Eleanor is a clinical psychologist and mental health researcher specialising in child and youth mental health. Her work spans NHS clinical practice, international implementation, and research, with a focus on developing evidence-based interventions for young people across diverse settings.

Eleanor joined ARU as Senior Lecturer in Clinical Psychology in 2025 and also works clinically in a student mental health service at Cambridgeshire and Peterborough NHS Foundation Trust.
Prior to ARU, she held an international implementation role at the Child Mind Institute, contributing to the design and implementation of youth mental health programmes in South Africa and Brazil. Her career has spanned research and clinical positions across NHS services and leading academic institutions including the University of Oxford.
Eleanor holds a track record of competitive clinical academic funding and has published in leading peer-reviewed journals across youth mental health, health services, and implementation science.
She is co-founder of BRIDGE, a peer mentoring programme for early career researchers across the UK and LMICs, and holds leadership roles in the UK Mental Health Research Incubator and the British Academy Early Career Researcher Network for the East of England, reflecting her commitment to supporting fellow early career clinicians and researchers into academic careers.
