Dr David Everiss

David is Director of Medical Education in ARU’s School of Medicine. He works with clinical and academic colleagues to develop courses and curricula, support educators, and create engaging learning experiences. Before joining ARU, he led postgraduate research and lifelong learning at the University of Essex.

David’s background spans radiography, military healthcare and higher education. He served for 16 years in the Regular Army and continues to serve in the Army Reserve. His professional doctorate explored technology enhanced learning, particularly the experiences of teaching and learning online during the COVID-19 pandemic. This combination of clinical, educational and leadership experience informs his approach to medical education.
