Daniela is a behavioural economist interested in understanding how people make decisions. and how behavioural insights can be used to enhance decision-making, including informing policy and practice.
Prior to re-joining Anglia Ruskin University, Daniela was a lecturer at the University of Birmingham. Her teaching experience includes lecturing economics and supervising dissertations at both undergraduate and postgraduate levels.
Daniela is a member of the Centre for Inclusive Societies and Economies, formerly known as the Centre for Pluralist Economics. She is the research cluster leader for Behavioural Economics, and a co-founder and the director of the Behavioural Insights Laboratory at the Faculty of Business and Law.
Daniela’s research interests are at the intersection of economics and psychology with a focus on understanding decision-making mainly through using behavioural experiments. She has a particular interest in the role of emotions in shaping choices and in the application of behavioural insights, including using them as strategies for behavioural change.
