Chloe Leaper is an artist, public art engagement strategist, and lecturer at Cambridge School of Art. Working across sculpture, installation and drawing. Her practice explores spatial cognition, And mental, visual and physical movement across perceived thresholds. Leaper is currently undertaking a PhD with Nottingham Trent University exploring how site-responsive art practice can engage with the architecture of Health and Wellbeing to holistically enhance psycho-spatial experiences of threshold transition.
Chloe is currently a lecturer on the Fine Art BA at ARU having previously been Head of Foundation and Senior Lecturer in Fine Art at The Art Academy (London), and Senior Lecturer in spatial design at Inchbald School of Design (London).
Her practice is currently involved in public art projects as a commissioned artists as well as a consultant strategist and public engagement facilitator.
Chloe is recently enrolled on a Practice based PhD in Fine Art with at Nottingham Trent University, having previously received her Fine Art MA (with Distinction) from City and Guilds of London Art School, a BA Degree in Fine Art and Critical Thinking from Kingston University, and a three year Post-graduate degree in Sculpture at The Art Academy.
Chloe is currently undertaking a PhD with Nottingham Trent University exploring how site-responsive artworks can engage with the architecture of Health and Wellbeing to holistically enhance psycho-spatial experiences of threshold transition.
Through the lens of wellbeing, she is examining methods of interdisciplinary engagement between Art, Psychology, Architecture, and Critical theory. Her research will focus on the liminal psycho-spatial thresholds situated between the functional conventions of architecture and the terrain of expanded drawing and installation.
