Charlotte Gowers is a Lecturer and Course Director in Sport and Exercise Science at ARU, as well as an applied exercise physiologist. She leads and teaches across exercise physiology and performance nutrition modules, bringing an evidence-based and applied perspective to the curriculum. Alongside her academic role, Charlotte manages the ARU Performance Centre; a dedicated physiology laboratory where she oversees athlete support services and facilitates student engagement in applied testing and research

Charlotte has been a Lecturer at ARU since 2022. Her academic and applied work focuses on endurance sport performance, with a particular interest in optimising training and nutrition to reduce the incidence of Relative Energy Deficiency in Sport (RED-S). As an experienced endurance coach and applied physiologist, she integrates real-world insight into her teaching, research, and student supervision.
