Alix Willmore is a Clinical Academic Research Practitioner and Consultant Speech and Language Therapist working as part of a secondment agreement with ARU and ESNEFT.

Alix is a PhD candidate and her doctoral research explores barriers and facilitators to staff-mediated communication interventions for preschool children with autism.
Alix's special interest is preschool, neurodivergent children and she has worked clinically in a range of settings supporting the communication needs of children with autism and their families; including special schools, preschool clinics, diagnostic services and online parent therapy services. In addition to doctoral studies, Alix has contributed to sponsored clinical research and published audit work. She combines clinical and diagnostic expertise, parent-mediated intervention experience and academic research to strengthen evidence-based autism practice.
