Alissia Joined the lecturing team at Writtle in October 2021, working as a lecturer in Veterinary Physiotherapy and Canine Therapy. She has a specific interest in Equine Physiotherapy having grown up and worked in the Irish racing industry. Alissia has also completed her post graduate certificate in higher education practice.

Background

Alissia developed a keen interest in Equine Therapy from her experience of working in the Irish racing industry. This drove her to complete a BSc(Hons) in Equine Sports Therapy at the University of Essex and an MSc in Veterinary physiotherapy at Harper Adams University alongside two equine bodyworker  certificates.

Alissia went on to work as a veterinary physiotherapist for a first opinion and referral veterinary center treating both small and large animals, where she developed a keen interest in canine therapy. Following this invaluable experience Alissia sought a career in lecturing and joined the team at Writtle in October 2021.
