Anglia Ruskin University is the headline sponsor of the race on Sunday, 3 March
Thousands of runners will take part in the Chelmsford Half Marathon in March, setting off from Anglia Ruskin University (ARU) before taking on the route around the city.
ARU is the headline sponsor of the annual race, which takes place on Sunday, 3 March. After the start at ARU, runners will head along Parkway, Essex Yeomanry Way and Chelmer Village Way, before finishing back at the campus.
The event is registered with UK Athletics, and first aid and security teams will be on hand, alongside approximately 100 event staff.
ARU’s experts in sports science have put together a guide for people planning to take on the 13-mile course, covering a training plan, nutrition and pre-race advice.
Lily Eno, Public Engagement Officer at Anglia Ruskin University (ARU), said:
“We’re delighted to again be sponsoring the Chelmsford Half Marathon and, as a key community institution, to be hosting the start and finish of the race.
“There will be lots of activities for spectators and competitors, and our renowned experts in the field of sports science have produced a comprehensive guide so that runners can have the best possible preparation in training and on race day.”
