Get ready for a wild journey as popular BBC presenter Greg Foot brings the Amazon rainforest to life at the Chelmsford Science Festival this month.

The award-winning science presenter and producer is perhaps best known for his weekly BBC Radio 4 series Sliced Bread.

During his Rainforest Lab Talk, Foot will use stunning videos to introduce the amazing work being done at the Tambopata Research Centre in Peru, from identifying monkeys using artificial intelligence, to using drones to map flowering Brazil nut trees.

The free talk, which takes place on Tuesday, October 28 at Anglia Ruskin University’s Chelmsford campus, will be followed by a Q&A session and an opportunity to meet the presenter.

“Having the chance to explore the Amazon rainforest was a truly epic experience. The journey gave me some unforgettable memories and moments.

“I’m really looking forward to revisiting my trip and sharing the highlights at the Chelmsford Science Festival. Hopefully my talk will inspire others to embrace adventure and discovery.”
