European exchanges

Our exchanges provide a great way for you to study at one of our partner universities in Europe as part of your degree course.

(Under the Withdrawal Agreement negotiated with the EU, the UK will continue to participate fully in the current Erasmus+ programme. ARU has successfully bid to participate in Erasmus+ until the end of May 2023.)

You can study abroad for one trimester at a European partner university.

You don't need to be fluent in another language to study abroad, as all of the modules included in the programme are taught and assessed in English. The credits you gain at our partner universities will be recognised towards your Anglia Ruskin degree and your grades will be converted (with an approved learning agreement).

While you're studying abroad, you'll continue to pay your tuition fees to ARU and may be eligible to receive a UK Turing Scheme grant to offset some of the costs involved, such as travel expenses and the cost of living overseas. The grant is intended to be a contribution towards the additional costs of studying abroad and will not cover all expenses.

For more information on the UK Turing Scheme grant, please visit our funding page.

ARU Global has exchange partnerships with a number of European universities.
