Mapping research priorities related to maternal and infant nutritional health in the context of climate change in Pakistan

Researchers at ARU are collaborating widely on planetary health concerns related to population health. This grant has identified, through co-production research in Pakistan, how women and maternal and infant services recognise the additional risks and challenges associated with climate change and disruptions to patterns of food stability in the global south.

The research points to wider geo-political challenges and the need to address serious health risks in relation to the healthcare infrastructure. There are resonances to the health systems locally and particularly to the needs of young women in marginalised communities who’s voices, during pregnancy are not being heard.
