Imagine ARU in 2036
Across ARU, staff, students, alumni and partners are exploring one big question: Imagine ARU in 2036. How will AI have changed the way we work, live and learn?
We invited our students, staff, alumni and community partners to offer their thoughts on where artificial intelligence might take us in ten years' time.
On 22 June we pulled these contributions together into an interactive symposium: Imagine ARU 2036. On our Cambridge campus, more than 100 participants engaged in creative workshops focused around learning, research, work and life.
We also heard from a panel of industry experts and ARU alumni who shared their hopes and fears for AI and the role our University can play in society’s use of technology in the future.
While the symposium marked an important milestone, it is only the beginning of the conversation. Together, we have started to explore what the next decade of AI could mean for learning, research, work and life at ARU and beyond.
The ideas, opportunities and challenges raised through Imagine ARU 2036 will continue to inform our thinking, and we look forward to involving colleagues, students, alumni and partners as we shape the next phase of this work.
