Walking with Pylons

Electricity pylons stretching across a ploughed filed, with person's walking boots seen in foreground

Sarah Royston has been commissioned to produce a research-inspired story for the book On a day like today, from art.earth Books.

Sarah’s piece is called Walking with Pylons and uses a fiction format to explore the experiences of rural people who oppose the construction of new electricity pylons. The story will be accompanied by an illustration by ARU’s James Norton. The book is due to be published late in 2026.
